The Brasserie Lake View: Where Elegant Dining Meets a Lively Night Out

Located in Lake House The Club in New Cairo, The Brasserie Lake View is a restaurant and restobar that blends elevated comfort food with a social, evening-ready atmosphere. It’s a place that shifts easily from a relaxed dinner spot into a more vibrant setting as the night unfolds.

First Impressions & Atmosphere

Once we stepped in, the ambience immediately leaned into a dreamy, laid-back setting, making it ideal for a date night or a relaxed weekend outing with friends. Atmospheric lighting wraps the space in a soft glow, while the interior features neutral tones, rustic textures, and elegant finishes that feel both cosy and refined.

Touches of greenery appear throughout, adding a refreshing contrast to the warm, earthy palette. The overall vibe is rustic yet polished, creating a space that feels intimate without being overly formal.

It’s the kind of place where you can easily settle in for hours, whether for conversation, celebration, or simply unwinding.

Starting with Drinks

We began with a selection of drinks that catered to every mood. The Virgin Colada (240 EGP) came creamy and tropical, offering a sweet escape, while the Virgin Mojito (240 EGP) delivered a crisp, minty freshness. The sangria (460 EGP) added a fruity depth, while the Château de Grandville white (350 EGP) felt lighter and more refined, elevating a good meal. The Stella (220 EGP) rounded things off with a familiar, easy-drinking option.

Starters & Small Plates

To start, we ordered the Steak Tartare (720 EGP), which delivered a rich, well-balanced flavour, appealing to those who enjoy something on the more refined side. The Gambas Al Ajillo (780 EGP) followed with a fragrant garlic aroma and a slightly indulgent finish, where each bite was heavenly.

Then there was the Wedge Salad (380 EGP), which added a refreshing crunch, balancing the heavier dishes, while the Potato Gratin (340 EGP) delivered a creamy, golden comfort that felt satisfyingly rich.

Mains: Comfort Meets Indulgence

Moving on to mains, the Truffle Risotto (640 EGP) stood out with its earthy depth and creamy texture, while the Truffle Mac & Cheese (780 EGP) leaned fully into indulgence, offering a heavier, more decadent take. Both seemed similar yet different when it comes to the explosion of flavours erupting in our mouths.

Another dish we tried was the Smoked Vegetable Charcoal dish (620 EGP), which provided a slightly lighter option, with a smoky flavour that added depth without feeling overwhelming.

For heartier choices, the Steak Frites (1200 EGP) delivered a generous portion, pairing tender meat with crisp fries, while the Sticky Smoked Korean Chicken (820 EGP) brought bold, flavour-packed notes with a balance of sweetness and smokiness. Finally, The Brasserie Burger (680 EGP) offered a classic, well-executed option, delivering a juicy and satisfying bite.

The Verdict

The Brasserie Lake View delivers a well-rounded restobar experience, combining elevated comfort food with a setting that feels both stylish and relaxed. The food is varied and well-executed, while the ambience makes it especially suited for date nights, group outings, or casual celebrations.

As the evening progresses, the DJ and music begin to shape the atmosphere, setting the right mood early on and building energy with more upbeat tunes as the night goes on, perfect for those looking to fully let loose with friends or celebrate a special occasion.

Overall, it’s a spot that successfully brings together good food, a polished setting, and a lively social vibe, making it a reliable choice for a well-rounded night out.
