Gaming in Egypt is no longer just about what happens on the screen. As the community continues to grow, so does the interest surrounding it, with brands across industries increasingly looking for ways to connect with a young, digitally engaged audience. That shift will be on display at the sixth edition of the Esports Summit (ESS), taking place on 24 and 25 September 2026. Organised by FWZ, the summit is bringing together more than 20 brands, partners, and sponsors, highlighting how Egypt’s gaming and esports scene is developing into a wider commercial platform.

20+ Partnerships, One Gaming Community

This year’s ESS brings an interesting mix of industries into the gaming space. Ten major brands are among the summit’s key sponsors: BYD, Red Bull, Samsung, Juhayna, ValU, Vodafone, Talabat, GigaByte, Lenovo, and AMD, alongside several other brands from the fast-moving consumer goods sector. BYD’s involvement also marks a first-of-its-kind partnership in Egypt’s gaming sector, reflecting the automotive brand’s recognition of the role technology plays within the gaming community. Beyond the major sponsors, ESS is also creating space for local retail businesses to participate and interact with visitors. Altogether, companies from more than five sectors will come together under the ESS platform.

Gaming Is Attracting More Than Tech Brands

Technology companies may seem like a natural fit for an esports event, but the ESS 2026 partner list tells a much broader story. Automotive, telecommunications, food and beverage, financial services, delivery services, consumer products, and technology brands are all represented. The variety demonstrates how gaming has increasingly become a space where very different businesses can meet the same highly engaged audience. The growing presence of FMCG and other consumer brands is particularly significant. Interest in gaming and esports is no longer limited to companies directly connected to the industry. Instead, traditional consumer businesses are increasingly exploring the space as another way to build awareness, engage potential customers, and develop relationships with younger audiences.

Going Beyond the Logo

For brands, participating in gaming events can offer something different from simply placing a logo in front of an audience. ESS gives participating companies the opportunity to interact directly with the gaming community through experiences and activities, creating multiple points of contact throughout the event. For businesses trying to connect with digitally active younger consumers, those interactions can offer a more direct approach than relying solely on traditional advertising. It also gives brands the chance to become part of the experience itself, meeting audiences within a space built around interests they already actively engage with.

Building the Business Around Gaming

For FWZ, bringing these companies together is also part of a wider goal. Beyond organising ESS as an event, FWZ is working to connect Egypt’s gaming and esports community with the broader commercial market. Through events such as ESS, companies can enter the gaming space, understand its audience, and explore ways to engage with the community that support both immediate marketing goals and longer-term consumer relationships. That growing commercial interest can also have a wider impact on the industry. More brands entering the ecosystem can create additional opportunities for events, gaming communities, players, and other stakeholders, contributing to a more established and sustainable gaming and esports sector in Egypt.

ESS 2026 Is Getting Bigger

The growth of ESS itself reflects that momentum. After welcoming more than 10,000 visitors during its previous edition, the sixth edition is targeting 15,000 visitors when it returns on 24 and 25 September 2026. And as its community grows, so does the range of businesses interested in being part of it. With more than 20 brands and partners coming together across multiple industries, ESS 2026 shows that gaming in Egypt is becoming more than a space for competition and entertainment. It is also emerging as a meeting point between businesses and one of the country’s most digitally connected young audiences, giving brands a new way to understand, reach, and engage with the community shaping the next generation of consumers.
