‘Zenocrete & Zenobia’ at Rawabet Theater
Downtown Cairo’s Rawabet Theatre hosts Marco Magoa’s ‘Zenocrete and Zenobia’; a play based on ‘Tamburlaine’ by Christopher Marlowe and ‘La gran Cenobia’ by Calderón de la Barca. The performances deal with the relationship between power and violence, as well as female ambition in the face of abusive relationships. Segments from the two original plays will be performed in their respective languages of English and Spanish, and Arabic translation is provided. Admission is free.
