The Cairo Human Rights Film Festival at El Sawy Culturewheel
The second night of the Cairo Human Rights Film Festival will screen My Name is Tahrir followed by short films Freedom is Born, Zero Silence and Maspero. A Q&A with filmmaker Ahmed Abdel Fattah will follow, before the Emmy-nominated A Force More Powerful is screened. The documentary series, which is narrated by Ben Kingsley, looks at different examples of how nonviolent power has overcome oppression around the world. Screenings will be held in the Word Hall 1 and attendance is free. For more information on the festival, click here.
