‘Sleepless’ Screening at Netherlands-Flemish Institute
‘Sleepless’, or ‘La Anam’ (1957) starts the Godmother of Egyptian cinema, Faten Hamama. Based on a novel by Ihsan Abdel Qaddous, the film follows the story of a spoilt girl, set on destroying her father’s new marriage. Attendance is free, doors close at maximum capacity.
