‘Port of Memory’ & ‘Wadjda’ Screenings at French Institute
Palestinian film, ‘Port of Memory’, follows the suffering of residents of Jaffa – a small town under Israeli oppression. Wadjda’, directed by the first female Saudi filmmmaker Haifaa Al Mansour, tells the story of a young Saudi girl who signs up for a Quran recitation contest, hoping to win the grand prize that will afford her a bicycle.
