Ramadan promises to be an exciting season for drama, with numerous high-profile series featuring a variety of genres and storylines. Interestingly, several actors have taken on multiple roles, appearing in more than one series throughout the month.
This growing trend highlights the demand for these stars and their ability to bring versatility to the screen.
Sawsan Badr
The legendary Sawsan Badr will be gracing two major series this season. First, she stars in El Captain alongside Akram Hosny, Aya Samaha, Rahma Ahmed, Omar Shawky, and Sami Maghawry. Additionally, she joins the cast of Athena, led by Riham Hagag. This marks the latter’s first collaboration with screenwriter Mohamed Nair and under the direction of Yehia Ismail.
Mahmoud El-Bezawi
Renowned actor Mahmoud El-Bezawi is another star juggling multiple productions. He returns in Gawdar 2, the highly anticipated sequel starring Yasser Galal and Yasmin Raeis, directed by Islam Khairy. He is also featured in Hesbet 3omry, led by Rogena, Amr Abdel-Geleel, Mohamed Radwan, and Nadine.
Rahma Ahmed
After gaining immense popularity for her role as Marbouha, Rahma Ahmed is taking on two new projects. She joins El Captain with Akram Hosny while also starring in 80 Bako, headlined by Huda El-Mufti in her first leading role. The show is penned by Ghada Abdel Aal and directed by Kawthar Younis.
Gihan El-Shamashirgy
Despite passing out on Kamel El-Adad 3, Gihan will still be a key figure this Ramadan season. She appears in Gawdar alongside Yasmin Raeis, Yasser Galal, and Waleed Fawaz and also co-stars in Ekhwaty, which boasts a powerhouse cast featuring Nelly Karim, Ruby, and Kinda Alloush.
Khaled El-Sawy
Khaled El-Sawy joins the lineup with two strikingly different roles. He returns for El Maddah 5, co-starring Hamada Helal, Heba Magdy, and Ghada Adel. Additionally, he plays a central role in Seed El-Nas, opposite Amr Saad, Menna Fadali, Bushra, and Elham Shaheen.
Mariam El-Khosht
Mariam El-Khosht is proving to be one of the busiest actresses this season, appearing in Kamel El-Adad 3 and taking a significant role in El Sharnaka. The latter is expected to be a standout, starring Ahmed Dawood, Ali El-Tayeb, Sabry Fawaz, and Sarah Abi Kanaan, marking the Lebanese actress’s debut on Egyptian television.
Dunia Sami
Emerging star Dunia Sami is making a powerful statement with three roles this season. Starting off with El Nos, a period comedy starring Ahmed Amin, set in the 1930s and inspired by historian Ayman Osman’s book. Then comes Nos El Sha3b Esmo Mohamed, a lighthearted series starring Essam Omar. Finally, she’ll be in Huda Mufti’s 80 Bako.
Intisar
Mai Omar and Maged El-Masry lead Esh Esh, directed by Mohamed Sami. This production features Intesar, who is also appearing in 80 Bako and Qahwet El Mahatta alongside Ahmed Ghozzi and Bayoumi Fouad.
Injy El Mokadem
Injy El-Mokadem will be playing a dramatic role in Seed El-Nas. The series, written by Khaled Salah and directed by Mohamed Sami, unfolds in a southern village. She is also among the additions in Kamel El 3adad’s latest instalment for a quirky light role.
