2019 seems to be Egypt’s year. Aside from Egypt making international headlines for the all the right reasons, Egypt has also been welcoming a number of the world’s politicians, international artists, and travel vloggers and bloggers from all around the world. As such, it is safe to say that Egypt’s tourism industry is finally receiving a kiss of life, and today is no exception: Riccardo Tisci, Chief Creative Officer at Burberry, has posted some amazing shots of him visiting Egypt.
Tisci studied in Italy at the Design Istituto d’Arte Applicata in Cantù until the age of 17, and then graduated from London’s Central Saint Martins Academy in 1999. The 44-year-old was a former Creative Director for Givenchy for 12 years. In February 2018, Tisci was announced as Burberry’s new Chief Creative Officer.
Riccardo Tisci is known for his dark, subversive craftsmanship, non-conformity, and seductive glamour. Tisci created Kim Kardashian’s form-fitting wedding dress (back when he worked at Givenchy) and was also one of the first designers to experiment with androgynous clothing and streetwear.
Two days ago, Tisci uploaded a photo of himself on Instagram. People believe that he came to Egypt to find inspiration for his latest collection.
In one of these photos, uploaded 23 hours ago, Tisci captioned “Living a dream” while posing with his friends at a famous Mosque in Cairo. All his photos feature a nude colour palette, alongside the hashtag #onlybeige; this might be a hint to his new collection.
