Shagaret El Dor Street across from Mandarine Koueidar is Mexy; a small and simple clothing shop displaying a huge silver
sign against a fuchsia background. Carrying a small but extremely affordable
collection, Mexy boasts dresses, tops, little vests and shirts that are fun to
look through and pick from.

As soon as
you walk in, you will notice that the shop has basically three stands with
hangers carrying all the different items that you can pick from. There’s also a small changing room in the middle, and a little window on the right displaying
a small collection of watches, sun glasses and belts that might not seem very
appealing at first.

Mexy has a
good collection of maxi dresses, jeans, tops, silk shirts, funky vests and
boleros in different material such as crochet and satin. Prices range from 80LE to 150LE, while their shimmery coloured leggings in gold and purple from
France range from 100LE to 300LE. There are also harem pants and other very
loose and comfortable trousers for 200LE.

The maxi
dresses come in various patterns including stripes, some adorned with beads,
with straps and without for 250LE. However, you will need to try them on first
as the cut might differ from one person to the other.

Mexy also
has a variety of tops for around 170LE; we recommend you go through them
thoroughly before making your pick. There
are also mini dresses in various prints and materials for 250LE in different
material such as denim, chiffon, cotton and crochet, as well as funky dresses in
shiny and loud studs and patterns for 250LE.

If you’re
looking for a nice big watch but are not big on the brand name or an everyday
