For many, cooking – and food in general – is one of life’s unparalleled joys, especially if you’re feeding your loved ones; but as fun as it is, coming up with a brand new recipe or trying to execute an already existing one from scratch can be quite frustrating in a country like Egypt – finding many ingredients is nothing short of looking for a needle in a haystack.

But necessity is the mother of invention, as they say, which is why a group of four young enthusiastic and ambitious entrepreneurs – also founders of Ariika Beanbags – created Easy Pan; a recipe kit delivery service, taking your cooking experience to a completely new level, by bringing both the recipes and ingredients of your favourite dishes to your doorstep.

Easy Pan is essentially a service aiming to provide home-cooks in Egypt an easy way to execute tasty dishes in their own kitchens, by delivering them premeasured and pre-portioned ingredients alongside a simple and uncomplicated recipe card guiding them through all the cooking steps.      

“Our goal is to provide our customers with new, exotic ingredients and recipes which they might not otherwise find in Cairo,” co-founder Shahir Arslan, told us. “Even when they do find them, they often don’t know how to use them,” he continued. “We’re here to change that.”

Easy Pan’s website includes creative recipes from different cuisines from all over the world including France, England, America, Asia, Italy, Mexico and many others and the ‘menu’ changes monthly, meaning that the ingredients you receive will be fresh and in-season.

Their November menu has included diversified dining choices catering for different tastes, including Veal Fillet with Rigatoni Pasta (50LE), Turkey Fillet with Pumpkin Puree (40LE), Pistachio Salmon (60LE) and Flaky Crust Chicken (40LE).

With a team of culinary experts behind the scenes – who also decide the dishes of the month— Easy Pan goes through several procedures before settling on their recipes, from research and food sampling to dealing with local and international suppliers, to ensure the delivery of high quality ingredients to their customers’ dining tables as well as an enjoyable cooking experience.

All of Easy Pan’s ingredients are packed and delivered in vehicles equipped with a cooling system for the safest delivery of raw ingredients and to keep the food fresh in general.  

As our readers may have noticed, Cairo 360’s restaurant section is possibly the most prolific – because there’s nothing more of than restaurants in Cairo – and so our food reviewers couldn’t wait to get their hands on an Easy Pan package.
