Despite this time of economic uncertainty, the pursuit of shopping in Cairo continues to thrive. With international chains opening up in Cairo’s most trendy shopping hubs, Sun City Mall has welcomed Bath & Body Works into a third floor shop. Brightly lit and immaculately organised, the shop oozes with colour and delicious scents.

Immediately after entering, our eye was drawn towards a large showcase displaying Bath & Body Works “favourite fragrance”, Dark Kiss, which is perfectly rich for crisp autumn nights. All the sections are cleverly labelled and based on the products’ signature scents; Cuddly and Warm, Sexy and Confident, Romantic and Delicate, and Fresh and Playful. This made shopping easier by quickly nudging us towards our preferred fragrances.

Our personal favourites came from the sweeter lines of both the Sexy and Confident (Japanese Cherry Blossom) and Romantic and Delicate (Sweet Pea and Paris Amour). Every range of scents is available as a shower gel (135LE), bubble bath (100LE), fragrant body mist (175LE), body lotion (135LE), and perfume (265LE). Some, such as the Cashmere Glow line, included shimmer mist (175LE) and intense body butter (130LE).

During the time of our visit, an attractive promotional campaign of “buy two, get one free” was in place, and is said to remain active for quite some time.

Bath & Body Works has made shopping for gifts easier, with their gorgeously assembled packages and make-up bags, filled with samples from a specific line. Small gift sets retail between 160LE-365LE whilst the larger gift sets start at 465LE and include a shower poof, body mist, shower gel and triple moisture cream.

The shop also contains a section dedicated to home fragrances and accessories such as concentrated room scents (90LE), various hand soaps (50LE), and bulbs for air freshener instillations (60LE). Alongside this, the lines have been expanded to encompass all-natural Aroma Therapy, a True Blue Spa section and even a section for men.

Amongst other things, said men’s section introduces a Mentha Vitamin Body Wash (125LE) and Lotion (145LE) as well as the Barber Hair and Body Wash in two scents – Confident Exotic Rich and Modern Bright Refined. Lotions (90LE), cologne (250LE) and deodorant sprays (140LE) are also available.

Bath & Body Works is a veritable, fragrant haven for those searching for long-lasting, delicious scents to indulge in; either for yourself or as a gift for that special someone.
