Bath & Body Works has just graced New Cairo and opened its doors to pamper-loving shopaholics in the state-of-the-art Cairo Festival City. With a natural and instinctive tendency to jump at the words “pampering” and “shopping”, we headed straight over to the newly opened store to see what it has to offer.
We easily spotted the colourfully designed and well illuminated store from a distance and rushed to join the numerous shoppers grazing its stands. The store’s vibrant colours and all round pleasant ambiance made it stand out from the rest of retail outlets surrounding it. The heavenly smell that pleasantly attacked our nostrils as we walk in also added to the generally joyful feel of the place.
Upon entrance, we were greeted by a salesman who welcomed us and graciously offered his assistance. Sales personnel could be found all over the conveniently sized store and were all readily available to help any confused customers.
The products were all neatly aligned and well displayed with their appealing designs. Bath & Body Works is known for offering a range of lavish yet affordable body care products ranging from perfumes to body sprays to body lotions to candles to shower gels. The scented candles’ display immediately caught our eyes with countless scents being showcased on the ample shelf. Having exquisite scents like ‘Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin’, ‘Watermelon Lemonade’ and ‘Frosted Cupcake’, the candles were basically begging to be bought in bulk. Moreover, they were all on sale at the time of our visit being marked down from a hefty 225LE to only 55BLE; that spells bargain to us.
We moved on from the scented candles isle to the large isles devoted to Bath & Body Works’ signature scents. Perfumes, body mists, shower gels and lotions were all offered in each one of the signature scents. We helped ourselves to the body mist testers and put them to good use, inhaling the sweet fragrances and trying to pick a favourite. Our favourites ended up being the ‘Paris Amour’ and the ‘Japanese Cherry Blossom’ which were not as overwhelmingly sweet as the others (185LE). Some scents like the ‘Warm Vanilla Sugar’ were just way too sugary for our taste and so we went with the more neutral ones.
All pamper-loving males rejoice for we discovered that Bath & Body Works also offers a few male fragrances worth a sniff or two. The “Midnight” scent was the newest one on display and smelled delightfully intense and was offered as a perfume, body lotion and body wash.
To recap, we were quite delighted to spot the lively and aromatic store. With lavish products and comparatively affordable prices, Bath & Body Works definitely raises the bar in the Body Care category. We left the store with satisfyingly full shopping bags and not-too-drained wallets thanks to the sale.
