Brunch at Conrad’s Solana Gets a Belgian Twist This Weekend

Cairo 360
The Conrad Cairo Hotel ‘gets’ food. With Oriental restaurant, Jayda, and Asian specialist, Kamala, alongside the Mediterranean fare of Solana and Oak Grill’s modern Lebanese cuisine, there’s certainly no shortage of variety, either.
But probably the best culinary offering that the luxury Garden City hotel has is Solana’s famous Friday brunch – because it takes a little from all of the Conrad’s restaurant, providing a lavish culinary tour across the world.
This weekend, though, this feats is doing things a little different, with the help of a very special guest. As one of a series of special events by the Belgian Embassy’s Belgian Days, Hilton Antwerp-Old Town’s Chef extraordinaire, Axel Van Gils, will be captaining the ship for a special Belgian twist to proceedings.
With everything from classic Belgian stews such as Waterzooi and Carbonade Flamande, to, of course, authentic Belgian waffles and Belgian chocolate specialties like Dame Blanche, it’s shaping up to be a unique and rare dining experience in Cairo.
Add top-notch flavoured shish , Solana’s Nile-view terrace and live entertainment you have a pretty decent Friday afternoon, don’t you think?
Taking place from 1PM to 5PM, the brunch is 295LE++ per person, while kids between 6 and 12 years getting a 50% discount and kids under6 years eating for free. For more information and reservations, call 02-2580-8481.
