Today marks the closing of the 2019 Military World Games, officially known as CISM Military World Games, whose 7th edition commenced on the 18th of October. Sources state that it is the first international military multi-sport event to be hosted in China as well the largest military sports event to be held there. Thousands of athletes from over 60 countries were in attendance, specializing in more than 20 versatile sports, such as archery, badminton, and military pentathlon, swimming, and more that you can read about on the website.
Organized by the Military Sports Commission of China, as well as its Ministry of National Defense and other parties, the competition took place in Wuhan, the capital and largest city of the Chinese province of Hubei at the Wuhan Sports Center. It is there that the world witnessed the crowning of our Egyptian champions in the sports of boxing, modern pentathlon, taekwondo, and wrestling, tallying up to a total of 9 medals, including 2 golds, 2 silvers, and 5 bronzes.
