Due to the recent outbreak of Coronavirus, precautionary measures have been taken all over the world to stop it from spreading. Here in Cairo, various food outlets have announced heightening their safety measures to ensure their costumers an extra-safe experience.
Mori Sushi and Teds, for instance, have stopped shisha, added hand sanitizers, along with an alarm to remind people to wash their hands.
“We at Social Coffee Roasters want to reassure everyone that we are getting our workplace ready for COVID-19 to ensure that we continue to deliver you coffee that is clean and safe. Hoping for better days to come! Remember to stay social, but at a distance,” reads a post by Social Specialty Coffee. Crave, and Lebanese Diner made similar posts.
Vegan health gurus, Be Good to You are also advocating health precautions: “We are briefing all our staff daily on the procedures that must be followed. Frequent hand sanitization and washing, and immediately after handling cash/cards, when receiving items from suppliers. Strict use of gloves that are changed frequently. Constant cleaning and disinfection of counters and menus. Hand Sanitizers are available in our place. Disposable utensils are available,” and they announced that they will only be operating on 50% capacity to reduce the spread of the disease.
