It’s that time of the year again – the time when we announce the winners of the Cairo 360 Editors’ Choice Awards! Now in its fourth year, the annual awards were founded with the aim of saluting the very best that Egypt’s bustling capital has to offer in everything from dining, nightlife and hospitality, to health & fitness, arts & culture and shopping.

As the definitive guide to living in the capital, Cairo 360 has sought to discover and uncover everything there is to see and do in what is one of the most culturally colourful cities in the world. The Editors’ Choice Awards intends to pay tribute the best venues Cairo – the ones that make living here more interesting, more engaging and offer a unique experience or service.

Since its founding in March 2010, Cairo 360 has amassed over 8000 reviews and articles covering life in Cairo and in sifting through thousands and thousands of venues, only a select number have been deemed as truly being the best.

The winners are chosen not only based on reviews, but also on an important (and gruelling)  series of debates and discussions between Cairo 360 editors and staff, with other equally significant factors such as consistency and longevity, alongside value-for-money and quality of product/service, amongst others. 

As one can imagine, this is no easy task – in fact, the selection process becomes more and more difficult each passing year as Cairo continues to grow and evolve. While the Egyptian economy’s problems are well documented, the number of new winners this year suggests that local ingenuity is still alive and well, whether it’s in the field of food and beverages, or fashion and retail.

Seven years on since its founding, Cairo 360 continues to be a leader in independent reviews and an inclusive guide, seeking to show the good, the bad and the peculiar across Cairo – a mission that has never been more exciting. The Cairo 360 Editors’ Choice Awards are an exclusive seal of approval to acknowledge the best of the best in the city we call home.
