Last week, MENAbytes released an article about Pitch by the Pyramids by RiseUp, one of Egypt’s biggest platforms that connects startups to the most relevant resources worldwide. They stated that the competition is comprised of qualifiers across eight ecosystem hubs in the region, including Cairo, Beirut, Dubai, Amman, Baghdad, Ramallah, Tunis, and Riyadh, before the grand finale at the foot of the Great Pyramids of Giza on the 8th of December, during RiseUp Summit 2019.
Based on RiseUp’s website description of the highly anticipated competition, the program ensures a unique experience with mentorship sessions, conducted by high-profile figures, as well as extensive webinar sessions about business and market intelligence, and growth planning. The 25 finalists will get the valuable opportunity of pitching in front representatives of regional and international venture capitalists, as well as thousands of attendees, media coverage, and stakeholders.
According to Startup MGZN, RiseUp CEO Abdulhameed Sharara stated, “This is the first pitch competition of its kind in MENA. There are a lot of incredibly inspiring early-stage startups in the region that we know deserve this opportunity to, not only participate in a value-driven programme like this, but also get to pitch at one of the most magnificent and iconic venues in the world, the Pyramids. It will surely catalyse the development of everyone participating.”
More details about the competition and prizes will be revealed soon, so stay tuned. As for any aspiring entrepreneurs out there, hurry up and register now, as the deadline is on the 21stof September! If you check out the event’s official Facebook page, you can find the eligibility criteria and application link.
