In celebration of volunteer week, IHG Cairo Citystars hotels collaborate with Mahroo3 Kheir to change the lives of hundreds of students by improving their learning environments. IHG Cairo Citystars, alongside their partners at Mahroo3 Kheir, repainted two classrooms in a public school in Masr Al-Adima (Old Cairo) as part of their Volunteer Week initiatives. The project will enhance the children’s learning experience at El Shaheed Ahmed Hamdy Public School in the district.
Through this initiative and to celebrate Volunteer Week, IHG Citystars Hotels worked towards making a meaningful impact on the lives of students, teachers, and the broader community, fostering a culture of learning and empowerment. “By engaging in this endeavour, IHG Citystars Hotels showcases its commitment to social responsibility and sustainable community development, demonstrating its dedication to making a positive difference beyond the realms of hospitality on IHG’s Journey to Tomorrow,” commented Dieter O. Franke, Regional General Manager. “We are proud to have collaborated with Mashroo3 Kheir and the school’s team to enhance the learning environment for the students of El Shaheed Ahmed Hamdy Public School in Old Cairo,” he added.
Additionally, Sherine Nakhla, Director of Marketing and Public Relations at IHG Cairo Citystars, Egypt, states, “As a hotel deeply rooted in our community, we recognise the pivotal role education plays in shaping the future of Egypt. By undertaking the initiative to renovate and paint classrooms in local public schools, we are not just enhancing physical spaces; we are investing in the growth and potential of our next generation.”
The collaboration demonstrated the power of collaboration in creating a meaningful impact and fostering a spirit of giving for all those involved, leaving a delightful impact in the heart of Old Cairo.
