2019 still has room for one final Weekend, where a round of events that cater to all tastes and moods are taking place. Before diving into the happenings of the upcoming two days, let us remind you of that you can find all about this weekend’s batch of Christmas bazaars here.
Thursday starts with an Oriental night of music at El Gomhoria Theatre, where National Arab Music Ensemble takes to the stage, a fusion night at Darb 1718 courtesy of Egyptian Project, and a Sufi night at El Sawy Culturewheel, where EL Mawlaweya El Masreya are on the menu.
Elsewhere, it’s a poetry night at Sufi Bookstore, where local poets Menna Tarek and Mahmoud Alaa recite some of their works, while Bedayat’s night celebrates Christmas with The Sinatras, who take to the stage for a round of Christmas classics by Frankie, Dean Martin, and more.
Wust El Balad are taking to the stage at Cairo Jazz Club this Thursday

When the night grows older, Wust El Balad take to Cairo Jazz Club’s stage for a round of Arabic contemporary tunes, DJ Mobbz spins a number of hip-hop and R&B tunes on the decks at The Tap Maadi, while DJs, Moenes, Sebbz, and Ouzo, take to the decks on Cairo Jazz Club 610’s night, Electric Thursday.
This night sees a couple of pop music nights taking place across the city; one at The Tap West, where the Youssef Ismail band take to the stage for a round of pop covers, before Bubblegum Kollectiv takes over for more pop tunes, and another at The Tap East, courtesy of DJ Lyon Avakian.
On Friday, Ali El Haggar sings some of his classics at Tahrir Cultural Center, the Oud Duo, Dina and Ghassan, play a round of Oriental tunes at El Ghoury Dome, while Ahmed Harfoush sings some Christmas classics at West Square.
Wijdan take to the stage at ROOM Art Space Garden City to play a round of acoustic numbers, Ka3b Dayer sings some Arabic rock songs at Bedayat, while Ali Qandil takes to the stage at El Sawy Culturewheel for a stand-up comedy show.
Elsewhere, it’s an R&B and hip-hop night at The Tap West, with DJ Feedo taking to the decks, and at Cairo Jazz Club 610 as well, but with DJ AK spinning the beats. Electronic music lovers can head to Cairo Jazz Club, which sees Aguizy & Fahim taking to the stage, or to The Tap East, where ABD and Ayman Nageeb are on the menu. The night ends with Dynomite spinning some pop and funk hits on the decks at The Tap Maadi.

When Saturday comes, Strawberry Swing cover some Coldplay tunes at El Sawy Culturewheel, which also sees an Oriental music night, courtesy of Nussir Shamma, while The Sinatras take over at Stage ElZamalek for a round of Christmas classics.
Elsewhere, Bluenotes play some blues numbers at The Tap West, Gummy Bears cover some acoustic tunes at The Tap East, Islam Chipsy and Sadaat play some electro-shaabi tunes at Cairo Jazz Club, and, lastly, The Tap Maadi brings another edition of its weekly Jam Night.
