Now that we all know what this is about and what we’re here for, we’re sparing you the intro this time around and jumping right to the many events that Cairo has to offer during the weekend.
Thursday begins with a Sufi night at the Arab Music Institute, where Sheikh Ehab Younis takes to the stage for a round of religious chants, a jazz night at ROOM Art Space courtesy of NohaFekry Jazz Quartet, and a folk night at Darb 1718, served by local band Acacia.
Speaking of which, El Suhbageyya take to El Dammah Theater’s stage for a folk night, while Zigzag sings a round of contemporary Arabic tunes at 3elbt Alwan, and Fabrica performs famous Egyptian operetta El Leila El Kebeeraat El SawyCulturewheel’s Wisdom Hall.
When the night grows older, Diab takes to the stage at Sheraton Cairo Hotel’s Zad for a round of songs as Mohammed Adaweyya serves around of Arabic pop songs at Galleria 40’s 3altawla, while Bosy, as well as Oka W Ortega, head to the stage at Triumph Hotel’s SehrayaTent.
Tania Saleh is set to take to the stage at Cairo Opera House’s stage this Friday

When Friday comes, Lebanese songstress Tania Saleh takes to the stage at Cairo Opera House, NouranAbouTaleb sings a round of tunes at the Arab Music Institute, while Bal Qeis plays a round of contemporary Arabic tunes on her oud at 3elbt Alwan.
Playing the same genre on Wisdom Hall’s stage, Nagham Masry take to the stage at El SawyCulturewheel as Zain Mahmoud chants a round of religious tunes on the stage at Darb 1718, while local band Gravy Train cover the classics of Pink Floyd.
Royal Maxim Palace Kempinski’s Ramadan tent, Bab Al Qasr, sees Mahmoud El Esseily singing some of his all-time favourites, while Dusit Thani Lake View’s Layaly El Khedewy hosts a shaabi night courtesy of Mahmoud El Leithy.

Hisham Abbas is on the menu at Sky Executive Resort’s EL 7ara, while Amer El Touni and his band, El Mawlaweya El Masreya, are in charge of the Sufi night at Blue Nile Boat’s Qamar El Din.
As for Saturday, Aida El Ayoubi sings various tunes at Cairo Opera House, Sara Moullablad& the Band play a round of jazz tunes at ROOM Art Space, while Egyptian comedian Ali Qandil takes to Wisdom Hall’s stage at El SawyCulturewheel for a stand-up comedy show.
This edition of Darb 1718’s MazzikaXElSat7 sees local band TaksirSharqi taking to the stage for a round of Oriental tunes, El Dammah Theater hosts another Zar session courtesy of Asyad El Zar, while Qobet El Ghoury hosts a Tanoura show. The Courtyard seals the weekend with a night that sees Mahmoud El Esseily taking to the stage for a round of pop tunes.
