Despite their increase, home-based food catering businesses are still dismissed – the image of foil plates wrapped in cellophane might have something to do with it. But there’s been a wave of professional, high—quality entrees to the market, with one of the latest coming in the form of Lemony’s Cheesecakes.
As you might be able to tall by the name, Lemony’s Cheesecakes specialise in cheesecake and nothing but cheesecake. From Lemon Cheesecake (240LE) and Pina Colada Cheesecake (280LE) to Hershey’s Chocolate Chips and Brownies Cheesecake (290LE) and Peanut Butter Cream and Chocolate Cheesecake (290LE), the diversity of flavours the brand offers will cover everyone’s taste.
The process of ordering is very straightforward; browse the menu on their Facebook page, call to place your order, then, 24 hours later, a delicious box of cheesecake will be delivered to your doorstep.
After wondering which flavour to pick, we’ve decided to go with the Salted Caramel Toffee Crunch (290LE). What really sets Lemony’s Cheesecakes apart, and what impressed us before we had even laid eyes on the cake, is the branding. The white and pink box carrying their logo was neat and cheerful, while the cheesecake is placed on a custom made pink cake board which makes it a presentable choice of dessert if you’re visiting family or friends.
Besides their terrific torched meringue edge which is presented in all of it flavours, the crust held itself perfectly, and overall, the cheesecake had a spot on sweetness to it, while the texture was as dense and velvety as any baked cheesecake should be. As for the toppings, the salted caramel was actually salty –not just a name – and it had a fantastic consistency, while the addition of Rice Krispies to the mix added an amazing airy crunch to this masterpiece.
Overall, you can’t help but be impressed by Lemony’s Cheesecakes. As a brand, they’ve nailed their social media marketing perfectly, the packaging and presentation is as good as anything you’ll find and, most importantly, the wide variety of crowd-pleasing cheesecakes were as good as they looked in the photos – which is no easy task.
