Here’s an updated list of some fantastic cafes in the Downtown area, each with its own charm and flavour, perfect for every mood and occasion.
D Cafe
Located within the Diwan Cinema Radio Branch, Diwan Bookstore offers the sweetest ambience of a book cafe within the noisy Downtown area. They serve delicious coffee, sandwiches, and pastries at prices that won’t break the bank while providing a calm aesthetic to read and drink. It also has two floors, an outdoor area, and the staff are super friendly.
Nitocrisse
With its stunning balcony, the cafe offers a relaxed setting to sit and enjoy coffee with a sky view. Located at 26 July Street on the roof of the Nitocrisse Hotel, it is an excellent option for fresh air, especially in this weather. They provide great coffee along with other beverage options that are all affordable. They don’t serve any food, which can be a plus as you can get your food from wherever you choose and eat there. Another aspect is that, unlike most cafes, they allow playing cards and board games.
Kapri Cafe
Nestled on Sherif Basha Street, Kapri offers affordable coffee and delicious desserts. The place has nice decor and super friendly staff. It also has free wifi and serves shishas, which is great for working or just chilling.
Groppi Garden

Crema Coffee Shop
Alluring you with its aesthetically pleasing decor, Crema Coffee Shop on Adly Street offers tasty coffee and bakery items at lovely prices. It has excellent service and kind staff. It’s also worth mentioning that they have plant-based milk alternatives.
