written by
Nada Medhat

Second language learning has been gaining increasing importance over the years. And with good reason: It has cognitive benefits as well as improving your chances of finding suitable work and studying abroad. German, especially, has been gaining a high position among Egyptians, mainly due to the many scholarships Germany offers. Chances are you already know that, and if you have the intention to start studying German but don’t know where to begin, this is where we come in.

Goethe Institue

The Goethe Institute is a non-profit German cultural association that operates worldwide with nearly 160 institutions spread across many countries. Its main aims are to promote the German language and cultural exchange. Named after the literary figure Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, the Institute works to educate on Germany’s culture, literature, and society, both through the language courses and events they run throughout the year. Goethe’s institute examinations are one of the most recognised worldwide, and they run online and in-person courses in Dokki.

Deutsch für Alle (DFA)

Established two decades ago, DFA’s main aim is to teach German through integration to help students live and think German rather than just learning to speak and write it. The team is made up of highly specialised native teachers who offer a wide variety of courses ranging from conversation and beginner to technical courses for engineering and medical German in their main office in Nasr City.

Ägyptisch-Deutsches Kulturzentrum (ÄDK)

ÄDK is the first accredited partner to the Goethe Institute in Egypt and the exclusive partner to the ÖSD Language Diploma. With different branches in Nasr city and El Hejaz, ÄDK offers German language courses for adults from A1 to C1.
