During Ramadan, most of us were released from the breakfast-at-work problem and took a break from rummaging through endless options of food venues only to be indecisive about our final pick. Now that we’ve said our melancholic goodbye to Ramadan and celebrated Eid al-Fitr, we return to our regular rhythm and are back to work and the same old tedious dilemma of what to eat for breakfast. Before Ramadan, we helped office workers in Maadi, Zamalek, and Sheraton. Now comes the turn for Mohandessin workers!

It has been long enough, so here’s a small recap: we sort breakfast restaurants/cafes around the area according to average prices, understanding that not all days of the month are equal, and what you’re willing to pay one day won’t necessarily be the same the next. So, without further ado, here are our recommendations.

Last Week of The Month

The last week of the month is still a bit out of sight, but we’ve all just returned from our Eid hiatus and might want to hold back a bit, right? Luckily, Mohandessin is full of incredible and affordable breakfast spots! When it comes to fuul and ta’ameya especially, Mohandessin has plenty to offer. The best of which in this category are: El-O’mda and Lemon we Cumin, both are equally delicious with classic and innovative twists on their sandwiches and plates!

The Middle Weeks

Those weeks are coming our way soon enough! So, best be prepared. The middle ground is always great; sure, it’s not the best thing in the world, but it’s moderate and steady (and lasts with us longer than either of the other categories!) Arabiata here is a great choice! La Pomme is also a proper choice for a light breakfast of a plain croissant or a wrap, or even pizza for something heavier to carry you through a long productive day!

Payday

When it’s finally time for payday, we feel enthralled and celebratory (and a little reckless with our money!) We can go all out and treat ourselves! Spectra is an amazing choice here; you can get yourself a whole, fulfilling breakfast meal or go for something sweet like a tiramisu with a side of coffee. The same goes for Wienerwald; you can get a meal or a German Apfelstrudel for a sweet and delightful morning!
