Schnit Worldwide Short Film Festival Hits Cairo for the Sixth Time

Film buffs gather round. If you’ve ever wanted to spend a whole weekend watching movies from all around the globe, this weekend is your chance. The Shnit Worldwide Short Film Festival is kicking off this Thursday and running all the way to Sunday.
Shnit Film Festival has received over 300,000 visitors since its inception in 2003, and has played in 96 cities over the past 15 years. This is the 16th edition of the Shnit Worldwide Short Film Festival, and the 6th edition right here in the heart of Egypt, showcasing a collection of short films of the year.
Downtown’s Zawya Cinema has the lion’s share of activities; hosting various screenings of Egyptian and international shorts throughout the festival, while other venues like Garden City’s Cima and The US Information Resource Center host Shnit Comedy and Shnit Animates. This edition’s international films are colour-themed, with movies entitled Dark White, Hot Grey, and Silent Pink. Check out the full screening schedule here.
