Artwork by Ibrahim Ghazala
Having kicked off on Wednesday, August 9th, Picasso East’s Summer Exhibition is finally back! This iconic Zamalek-based gallery is hosting a special collection in its New Cairo branch after its first round in July, showcasing the work of some of Egypt’s most renowned modern visual artists.
Artwork by Hany Rezq
Whether you’re a seasoned collector or a curious novice, this exhibition is sure to get you inspired and go back for more. With the artworks of icons such as George Bahgoury, Helmi El-Touni, and the late Hassan Al-Sharq, the collection displayed is nothing short of beautiful.
When you enter their villa, do not be phased by the fact that there are two floors, as both levels are open to the public. You’ll find yourself surrounded by the most vibrant colours, with mesmerising paintings, as well as some stunning and masterfully crafted sculptures.
Artwork by Eman El-Baz
You’ll feel as though you’ve been transported into another world where colour, creativity, and diversity reign supreme. There, you’ll find works that will make you forget yourself and dive into the artist’s world, where Eman El-Baz brings the dream-like quality of children’s playfulness forward. Others like Hend Elfalafly display femininity in an enchanting way.
The exhibition runs until the ninth of September, giving you ample time to visit and go back with your friends.
