India by the Nile, the biggest international festival in Egypt, took over Cairo, Alexandria, Port Said, as well as Fayoum over the past week. Among its many events, the festival served us a special culinary offering, exclusively to the city of Cairo- the Food Fiesta!

The Food Fiesta took place at Downtown’s InterContinental Semiramis Cairo from the 4^th to the 8^th of March. It gathered the flavours of the 5000-year-old gastronomic heritage of India, serving a colourful spectrum of classic tastes from many regions of India.

Courtesy of celebrated Chef Vikram Udaygiri and his team, Food Fiesta shed light on the culinary side of India’s diverse culture. Food Fiesta gave all of us a chance to explore the true taste of the exquisite cuisine at the InterContinental’s beautiful Indian restaurant, India Along the Nile.
