Plays at Rawabet Art Space 

Rawabet Art Space has become a favourite spot for people who love performing arts. It brings us refreshing theatrical performances and exposes us to new young talents. If you want to attend playful, amusing, and dramatic plays, below are the ones we plan to watch—and we hope you will, too! 

 

1- I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change 

This one is an adaptation of a musical of the same name. It narrates the battles we face in our relationships and their ups and downs. We expect it to be full of drama, comedy, and heartfelt dialogue. Book your seats and find out for yourselves!

2- How Did Love Start in the Year 3000?

How did love start in the year 3000? We certainly have no clue, but now that they mentioned it, we really want to know. This play promises us a night of discovering “something that’ll change everything”, as quoted from the play’s description.

3- Maii Waleed’s New Album Launch 

Maii Waleed, an alternative music artist, is launching her new EP Nemow on August 20th in Rawabet. The Alexandrian singer-songwriter is known for collaborating with Zeid Hemdan, a producer from Beirut, where they released their first album, Moga, in 2013. After a long break, she’s coming back with a live performance that you don’t wanna miss. 

 

Ticket price: 300 EGP. Early bird: 200 EGP.

Musical Performances at Room Art Space & Cafe (Garden City) 

Room Art Space and Cafe is probably everyone’s go-to karaoke spot. In addition to karaoke nights, Room is famous for hosting various musicians and stand-up comedians that make our outings at a cafe unique. That said, here are two musicians who are performing at Room Art Space this month. 

 

1- AQL

Marwan Aql is an Egyptian singer and songwriter. Aql is performing songs from a song series named Raheel – Departure. 

There is a quote from the description under the event’s announcement that struck a chord in our hearts! “The songs were written out of necessity. It is an attempt to come to terms with how life is compared with what, in his mind at the time, it should have been. Songs for when you want to leave, and for when you are forced to leave; songs about leaving”. If you’re looking for a profoundly moving performance, we expect this to be it.

2- Alyaa Nada

Alyaa Nada is a multidisciplinary artist, professional singer, actress, and sculptor. She has performed in popular musicals like Charlie, Lion King Broadway in Arabic, and El Leila El Kebira. Join Alyaa Nada and her band on Friday for a performance of famous English and Arabic songs!
