‘Law Kont Ghany’ screening at Netherlands-Flemish Institute

This 1942 Egyptian film tells the story of a barber from a poor neighbourhood who
inherits a large sum of money. He starts a publishing company and moves his family
to the rich Zamalek area. Living the rich life, they quickly forget where they
came from, forget about each other, and soon they run out of money.
Their daughter however comes up with an unexpected solution to the
crisis. Attendance is free of charge.
