The past two weeks have been very tough on all of us. We’re extremely burnt out from the news, and our hearts are heavy from all the tragic events. So this weekend, all we want to do is unplug and have some fun to wind down from all the stress. Luckily, there is a lot to do this weekend, between bazaars, musical performances, and stand-up comedy shows, there isn’t a shortage of fun activities to help us recover and get back on track for the coming few weeks.

Forever Is Now

Art D’Egypte’s coveted event is finally back for its third edition! Starting on the 26th of October and running until the 18th of November, Art D’Egypte invites you to relish mesmerising contemporary artworks against the stunning backdrop of the Great Pyramids of Giza.

Komedy Koshk at Renaissance Cinemas

What better way to kickstart the weekend than with a dose of stand-up comedy? This Thursday, the amazing stand-up comedy platform, Komedy Koshk, will be taking the stage at Renaissance Cinemas, at their Rehab branch.

Work.txt Play at D-CAF Festival

Performance Work.txt is an interactive play without actors at Rawabet Art Space, as part of the D-CAF Festival. The performance will be followed by a discussion and Q&A at their first set. The performance is scheduled for three sets over two days, Thursday 26 and Friday 27, with two Arabic performances and one in English.

Cairo Jazz Festival

The long-awaited Cairo Jazz Festival is finally coming back starting this Thursday! On its 15th edition, running until November 3, AUC’s Tahrir campus will come alive with the entrancing sounds of Jazz from around the world, with local, regional, as well as international musicians scheduled to take the stage.

Be a Biker ft. The Red Crescent

Have a knack for cycling but lack the motivation? Look no more, as the Be a Biker organisation is hosting a cycling event where they will bike their way through Cairo. What makes it all more worthwhile is that all the event’s revenue will be donated to the Egyptian Red Crescent for Palestinian aid.
