Finally comes a long weekend, where we can get to both unwind, and go out and about. As usual, the city has what it takes to keep you entertained, no matter what you’re into. Check it out:
Thursday begins with a Sufi night at Cairo Opera House, where Mahmoud El Tohami takes to the Open-Air Theatre’s stage for a round of chants, while May Abdel Aziz flaunts her musical talents on stage at ROOM Art Space Garden City. Darb 1718 hosts an R&B and rap night, welcoming Afrotto to the stage for a spectrum of tunes.
Speaking of R&B, Doggy Dogg takes to the decks at The Tap Maadi, while DJ Armen V is the star of the show at The Tap East. If you feel like listening to some guilty-pleasure –and slightly soppy – pop tunes, then head to The Tap West, where another edition of Cheeseballs takes place.
