There are a lot of places in Cairo to enjoy your night or day, whether it’s the nightlife options, fun activities all around the city, or tons of places to eat different cuisines. But sometimes you’re in the mood for something more relaxed, and not necessarily focused on food. This is where Cairo’s top lounges and cafés come in handy. The abundance of such relaxing spots make for an excellent place to have quality time with friends and family in a fun setting. So if you’re wondering which places are a sure hit in Cairo, check out this list for your next outing.

Left Bank

Perhaps the single biggest name in Cairo, the Nile-side lounge and café afford stunning panoramic views of the Nile, soothing decoration, and a wide menu of food and drinks to help you enjoy your time. Perfect for casual meetings or outings with friends and family.

Sequoia

Located right next to Left Bank, Sequoia boosts a stunning porch-like seating with a colourful oriental ambiance and a breathtaking Nile view. Sequoia serves up oriental food, and has a breakfast menu to die for. But it also works perfectly for sitting back with a cup of tea or a refreshing drink. Note that weekends may enforce the minimum charge rule.

Paul

The French bakery, restaurant, and lounge is famous for its delightful breakfast options, premium bakeries, and exquisite desserts. It has branches all around Cairo, and definitely has something on the menu to suit whichever mood you’re in.

Gaby’s

If you’re looking for light meals at more reasonable prices, Gaby’s offers a brilliant balance between comfort, excellent service, delicious food, and refreshing drinks.

Perk ‘N’ Puff

Heliopolis got lucky with this one, Perk ‘N’ Puff offers a living room experience with shisha, main dishes, sandwiches, and tasty smoothies. Perhaps the only downside is that it can get a bit cramped and too loud if crowded, so it’s best to go at downtimes.

Blaze

With a new spot in Alexandria, Blaze’s comfortable ambiance and delicious food is taking the whole country by storm. Blaze is famous for its brilliant interior decoration with a wide menu including shisha and mouthwatering desserts.

Bocca

A real restaurant in its own right, Bocca doubles as a lounge for the stressed and in-need of chill time. This resto-lounge has delicious appetisers, refreshing drinks, and often screens football matches. You can find it in Mohandessin or Capital Business Park.
