With applications taking over all of our booking and ordering tasks, the trend was bound to hit one of the oldest modes of transportation in Cairo, trains. Finally, there’s a new application that allows you to book and plan your train trips, and it will officially be activated this October.

The application will allow you to book any number of tickets you need, see all the empty seats, and even pay through your smartphone. At this moment, the application is in its final testing stages, and should be available by the start of next month on all mobile systems: Android and iOS.

Of course, booking will still be available at the station itself; this is just an additional way of booking aimed at facilitating the process for train users. The Egyptian National Railways will be announcing the name and more details about the application within two weeks, so stay tuned.
