Following one of the biggest events of Cairo’s Christmas weekend – an event that saw Alexandrian band, Massar Egbari, and hot DJ duo, Disco Misr, provide the entertainment – you’d forgive the folk at Riverside for taking it easy this week.

Luckily for us, though, the guys at the Zamalek venue aren’t missing a beat during the festive season and are set to continue the Christmas celebrations with a special performance from Cairo crooner, Ahmed Harfoush, on Monday 26th.

The event comes amidst a typically busy week at Riverside that will host the likes of Dina Salah (Sunday), DJ Feedo (Tuesday) and Riverdeep (Wednesday) perform, but the big one this week is on Saturday – aka New Year’s Eve.

Never ones to miss out on a big occasion, Riverside is seeing in 2017 in style, with special party, Black & Bling. Taking Riverside’s typically chic-naughty approach, the party will welcome increasingly popular British vocalist, Jolene, to the stage, before DJ Fuzzy takes over with his distinct brand of tech house. DJ Tamer Hegazy then takes over to end the night with a heavy dose of hip-hop and r&b.

It’s been a busy year all-round for Riverside, who continue to enjoy popularity among various types of Cairenes – the house lovers, the live music lovers and even the foodies of the city. 2017 is set to be even bigger according to the Riverside team – but we’ll have to wait to find out what’s in store.
