Visiting Bossini on an early Friday morning meant that we were the only shoppers there and that the sales attendants had nothing better to do than to shower us with questions about our needs. Bossini is a small shop and the five sales attendants present at the time of our visit easily lent the shop an overcrowded feel.
Based on our experience of Bossini branches across the Middle East, we expected its outlet in Nasr City to offer apparel that was not only reasonable-priced but fashionable as well. However, a quick look around revealed that the shop was sadly not going to live up to our expectations.
Unlike many of Cairo’s other shopping venues, Bossini offers clothes that are great value for money. However, while Bossini’s clothes come at good prices, they don’t necessarily come in the most fashionable of designs.
You can also find basic cotton shirts in black, white, beige, navy blue and other neutral colours, starting at 65 LE. These shirts were available in a variety of sizes starting at XS. Bossini also stocks maxi skirts (around 150 LE) and a strange selection of outdated, flowing, denim skirts. You can also find a limited collection of bags.
While you might not go berserk over Bossini’s clothes, the shop provides a hit-and-miss shopping experience, so it never hurts to have a look around,
– especially if you’re on the lookout for a few wallet-friendly wardrobe staples.
